In the 1980’s Umefa took the first step towards the production of steel garden furniture. Between 2004 and 2010 this range was expanded into our own line of camping furniture in collaboration with a Chinese manufacturer.
Because UMEFA sets high quality standards for its products in 2010 the decision was made to market a camping chair that was fully developed and produced in the Netherlands. Three models of chairs, a legrest and a stool were introduced under the name DYNAMIC.
It was such a success that a larger production capacity was needed and in 2012 the license agreement was signed with the Municipality of Maassluis, which has since formed the basis for the cooperation with SOW Maassluis. SOW is a workshop for disabled people and they manufacture the 100% Dutch furniture from raw material to finished product. Every year 20,000 chairs, 25,000 lightweight campingtables and many thousands of other camping furniture related items are produced here.
Dukdalf has become an inseparable part of the camping program within the group.
