After the death of “Grandpa Crull,” his sons David and Nico took over the helm. They further expanded the company, supplying to big names like Berini and DAF, and soon discovered new markets. In the early 1960s, leisure culture in the Netherlands changed, and UMEFA saw an opportunity to focus on products for the recreational sector alongside industrial supply.

With the takeover by Ton and Wijnand Crull in 1994, sons of David, Umefa became a well-known name in the camping industry. Under their leadership, the company expanded into new product categories and secured a strong position with international wholesalers.

In 2012, Umefa signed an important licensing agreement with the Municipality of Maassluis, which formed the basis for a fruitful collaboration with Stroomopwaarts in Maassluis.
