The year 2020 Metaalwarenfabriek UMEFA is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Started in a production plant in Utrecht from which the company is named after: Utrechtse MetaalwarenFabriek. Today this 100% Dutch manufacturer of metal camping accessories is located Leusden in a more than 6,600 M2 building where the production, the assembly and warehouse are located.
The production consists of single eccentric presses, fully automatic strip- and wire processing machines, spot welding machines for manual and mechanized work and automated tube processing machines. We also have a complete powder coating installation in-house so that we can provide the products with a coloured lacquer layer.
Since 1983 we have had a secondment department of AMFORS in house for the assembly of tentpoles and frames. They are working in their own department which is fully integrated into the operational management.
There is sufficient storage capacity with more than 4,000 indoor storage locations so that, as a stock-holding manufacturer, we have sufficient capacity to be able to deliver also during the peak season.
